With a voice like Demi Lovato‘s, you can’t give her a cameo in a movie without expecting her to steal the show. That’s exactly what she does in the hilarious new Netflix movie, Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga. It stars Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams as washed-up Icelandic pop stars, and Lovato plays the role of fellow Icelandic singer, Katiana. But while her voice is, as usual, a next-level listening experience, Lovato’s hair deserves its own line in the credits.
Usually a brunette, Lovato has tried blonde hair here and there, but typically goes back to a dark brown shade that looks eternally amazing on her. The look she wears in Eurovision Song Contest, however, may have her reconsidering a return to a flaxen style.
She’s seen wearing a super long, nearly-platinum blonde wig that flows over her similarly yellow-hued dress. It frames her glowing face, the only thing more eye-catching being the lip gloss she wears as she expertly sings a song called “In the Mirror.”
Lovato shared a peek at her blonde-bombshell look on Instagram “Soooo excited to announce that EUROVISION SONG CONTEST: THE STORY OF FIRE SAGA is out right NOW on @netflix!!! 💗🎉💖🎬 Can’t wait for you to meet Katiana😝,” she wrote in the caption alongside the clip. “It means so much to me to have had the opportunity to work with Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams.. they are incredible💕.”
The movie may be a comedy, but no one is laughing about the song Lovato sings in it. In the day since Eurovision Song Contest premiered on Netflix, “In the Mirror” has already garnered lots of praise for Lovato’s vocals and the catchy tune that could easily make it an international hit song.
But while there are plenty of comments on the Instagram post about her singing, fans are loving the fair-haired look just as much. “Brb ordering a blonde wig,” one person wrote, while another fan demanded to see more, writing, “GIVE US THE SELFIES YOU TOOK AS KATIANA ON SET I KNOW YOU TOOK SOME.”
Although Lovato is currently sporting go-to shade of dark brown, we wouldn’t be surprised if all the love she’s getting for this role leads to a little lightening up in the near future.
